The album received a plethora of positive reviews from critics, praising the album's originality. It has been ranked among the best rock albums of the 2000s and is considered some of the band's finest work.

Futurism (Bonus Track)
ABSOLUTION
Absolution, Muse's third studio album, was released in 2003 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album features 14 tracks, including the singles "Stockholm Syndrome", "Hysteria", "Sing for Absolution", "Apocalypse Please", "Butterflies and Hurricanes", and "Time is Running Out", the latter being the band's first top-ten single. The album is said to have a more polished and direct sound when compared with their previous work. Muse experimented with orchestra for tracks "Butterflies and Hurricanes" and "Blackout", something they would dive into on later albums.

Black Holes and Revelations, Muse's fourth studio album, was released in 2006 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album features 11 tracks, including the singles "Starlight", "Knights of Cydonia", "Invincible", "Map of the Problematique", and "Supermassive Black Hole", the latter is still Muse's highest charting single, peaking at number four in the UK Singles Charts. Some of the band's most popular songs are on this record with "Knights of Cydonia" remaining a fan favourite and is still consistently used to close out Muse's live shows.

DRONES
Drones, Muse's seventh studio album, was released in 2015 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album features 12 tracks, including the singles "Dead Inside", "Mercy", "Revolt", "Aftermath" and "Reapers". The album was the band trying to reconnect with their rock roots after delving into much experimentation on the last two albums.

SIMULATION THEORY
Simulation Theory, Muse's eighth studio album, was released in 2018 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album features 11 tracks, including the singles "Dig Down", "Thought Contagion", "Something Human", "The Dark Side", and "Pressure". The album was also released as two deluxe editions, featuring additional alternate versions of its tracks. Compared with darker, more dystopian themes of previous albums, Simulation Theory is centralised around science fiction and 1980s pop culture.

WILL OF THE PEOPLE
Will of the People, Muse's ninth and most recent studio album, was released in 2022 and reached number one onf the UK Albums Chart. The album features 10 tracks, including the singles "Compliance", "Will of the People", "You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween", "Kill or Be Killed" and "Won't Stand Down", the latter was the first track to be released, after it was teased by Matt Bellamy on Instagram in the prior December. Will of the People was described by Matt as "a greatest hits album - of new songs."
